Cardiovascular Systems Inc. recently announced plans to build a new corporate headquarters in New Brighton, Minn.<\/p>\n

The new two-story building will feature 125,000 square feet of space, enough to accommodate more than 500 employees. The new building will contain dedicated research and development, training and education, and manufacturing facilities.<\/p>\n

The new headquarters will be located in the New Brighton Exchange, on a 100-acre parcel of land at the northwest corner of Interstates 35-W and 694, approximately 10 minutes from downtown Minneapolis. Cardiovascular Systems was represented by TaTonka Real Estate Advisors, with Fredrikson & Byron, PA as counsel.<\/p>\n

\u201cWith the company\u2019s strong revenue gains from the high growth of our peripheral business and recent FDA approval of our technology for a coronary application, we have outgrown our current facilities,\u201d said David Martin, CSI, president & CEO. \u201cWe\u2019re fortunate to have found a location that allows us to remain in New Brighton\u2014a community we\u2019ve called home and supported since 2005\u2014while continuing to expand and prosper as an organization.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThere are over 16 million people in the United States diagnosed with coronary artery disease and an estimated 12 million Americans suffer from peripheral artery disease. Expanding our operations will enable CSI to help a growing number of people within these large and underserved patient populations,\u201d added Martin.<\/p>\n

Cardiovascular Systems, which currently has 191 employees in the Twin Cities, announced Ryan Cos. U.S. Inc. will start construction of the new headquarters immediately. The company is targeting March 2015 for occupancy.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
