Fifth Avenue will be completely remodeled and expanded to become a visual presence and dominant architectural feature in downtown Ann Arbor.<\/p>\n<p>According to <em><a title=\"MLive.com\" href=\"https:\/\/www.mlive.com\/news\/ann-arbor\/index.ssf\/2014\/06\/city_approves_42m_expansion_of.html\" rel=\"nofollow\" >MLive.com<\/a><\/em>, the bank\u2019s current and only entrance on Fifth Avenue will be replaced with windows, while the existing yellow brick fa\u00e7ade will be almost entirely replaced by brown and red-colored bricks and limestone-colored stone. Two new, separate entrances will be built on Fifth Avenue and Washington Street respectively, creating node at the corner street and offering a lively pedestrian experience.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_270634\" class=\"wp-caption alignleft\" style=\"width: 310px\"><a href=\"https:\/\/synd.yardi.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/46\/2014\/06\/Bank-of-Ann-Arbor.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-270634\" title=\"Bank of Ann Arbor\" src=\"https:\/\/synd.yardi.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/46\/2014\/06\/Bank-of-Ann-Arbor.jpg\" alt=\"Bank of Ann Arbor\" width=\"300\" height=\"167\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-caption-text\">Bank of Ann Arbor<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>The construction team spearheaded by developer First Martin Corporation will add a third story on top of the eastern part of the building. According to the source, the 9,440-square-foot addition will include office space, an executive suite and new boardroom.<\/p>\n<p>Work on the fa\u00e7ade remodeling is expected to start next month, with construction of the third floor set to begin in September. The project will take around 18 months to complete.<\/p>\n<p>With the third floor addition, the Bank of Ann Arbor headquarters will expand to more than 32,500 square feet of space.
