The building is currently 86 percent leased and all tenants will remain in place under new ownership, said Glazer.<\/p>\n<p>The two companies intend to convert about 90,000 square feet of existing office space within the building into 90 luxury rental apartments, with possibilities to offer additional housing as office leases expire and more space becomes available.<\/p>\n<p>This joint venture was <a href=\"https:\/\/www.commercialsearch.com\/news\/regions\/northeast\/keystone-jv-to-buy-2-msf-office-portfolio-for-231m-from-mack-cali\/1004092028.html\">one of several between the two companies looking to further expand their focus on business environments and multi-family rental platforms<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Curtis Center isn&#8217;t the first Philadelphia asset the two companies purchased together. \u00a0Keystone and Mack-Cali, along\u00a0with Parkway Corp., also bought the Dow Building\u00a0at 6<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0and Market streets\u00a0\u00a0in Philadelphia\u00a0in the third quarter of 2013.\u00a0 Dow is a 400,000 square foot office complex, which the companies are in the process of reinventing with a new parking garage in the lower level, and new pedestrian experiences with a caf\u00e9 at the corner and a beer garden across from the Liberty Bell, according to Glazer.<br \/>\n<b><\/b><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>In a joint venture, affiliates of Keystone Property Group and Mack-Cali Realty Corp. have bought Curtis Center, a Class A office and retail property nearby Independence Hall and Washington Square Park in Center City of Philadelphia.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":952,"featured_media":1004098070,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"_acf_changed":false,"_jetpack_memberships_contains_paid_content":false,"footnotes":""},"categories":[21783,11,21752,21742,1494],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-1004098048","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-investment","category-midatlantic","category-mixed-use","category-latest","category-philadelphia"],"acf":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO Premium plugin v23.4 (Yoast SEO v24.6) -
