The Greencourt Group is the pioneer developer in the suburbs of Shanghai and has developed more than 20 million square feet of commercial and residential property in China over the last 18 years. It will construct the new property, called the Greencourt Building, at 12358 Parklawn Drive. The cost of the project was not disclosed.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Greencourt Building will offer about 100,000 square feet of space. It will be adjacent to the newly renovated HHS headquarters and less than half a mile from the Twinbrook Metro station. Designed by the award-winning McInturff Architects to incorporate new workplace efficiencies, the building will feature large open areas, conference rooms, a coffee bar, covered executive parking, a fitness center and more.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Greencourt Group expects to complete the new facility in spring 2015. It will build the Greencourt Building on land it acquired in 2012 as part of a portfolio of four split-level industrial assets located on Parklawn Drive and Wilkins Avenue.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">CBRE has been retained as exclusive leasing representative for the Greencourt Building. The CBRE team includes vice presidents Andrew Cole and Dan McGivney.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cWhen completed in the spring of 2015, the Greencourt Building will be Montgomery County\u2019s first speculative opportunity outside the Beltway in several years.\u00a0 With its bold and fresh design and full complement of amenities, the building will stand apart from other office offerings in the area. With the economy improving, the Greencourt Building will be an ideal location for growing IT companies and entities that work with the healthcare agencies nearby,\u201d Andrew Cole said in a statement for the press.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The developer plans to apply for LEED certification. Recently, the Rockville Metro Plaza II building received LEED Platinum certification from the U.S. Green Building Council. The 297,000-square-foot trophy office building is the new world headquarters for Choice Hotels International.
