Nearly 60 percent of CCIM Institute\u2019s (<a href=\"https:\/\/urldefense.proofpoint.com\/v1\/url?u=https:\/\/www.ccim.com&amp;k=LXAl%2FS1Qy5NX2y2VjzohVw%3D%3D%0A&amp;r=sevIAXSlj2EeGYOxLJlpQgYhLDI0eAs6gK6GYzQjEjk%3D%0A&amp;m=qMXssCZH5N5%2FPn5AC2MWetfNYH57qFIFMkk7Yvj0teE%3D%0A&amp;s=1b76ff98e05b35682e85348da2bd8714e6b509296b2359619659409f8152fb2e\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">www.ccim.com<\/a>) national membership indicated they experienced more transactions\u00a0 in 4Q13 than the same period the prior year, according to the organization\u2019s 4Q13 <i>Quarterly Market Trends<\/i> report.<\/p>\n<p>The report, which features data collected from CCIM members nationwide and is conducted in conjunction with the National Association of Realtors, also shows that 61 percent of member respondents received more serious inquiries related to buying commercial real estate. Property sectors that saw the most deal activity included:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Hospitality: 75 percent of CCIM\u2019s saw an increase in deals with hospitality properties<\/li>\n<li>Office: 64 percent of CCIM\u2019s saw greater deal flow in the office sector<\/li>\n<li>Industrial and Multi-family: 56 percent of members who work with industrial and apartment properties saw a rise in deals<\/li>\n<li>Retail: 51 percent of CCIM\u2019s in the retail sector saw an increased deal volume<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\u201cWith triple-digit spreads between capitalization rates and Treasury notes providing a large cushion, investors\u2019 risk appetite broadened, driving commercial investments to a strong finish in 2013,\u201d saidmGeorge Ratiu, director of quantitative and commercial research for NAR. \u201cWith a favorable economic outlook coupled with rising capital availability, commercial real estate markets are well-positioned for continued growth in 2014.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Higher rents were also reported with 48 percent of CCIM\u2019s indicating they are observing higher rental rates across all property types over the same period last year, and 35 percent of members experienced similar rents year over year.
