{"id":1004089066,"date":"2013-12-29T22:20:07","date_gmt":"2013-12-30T06:20:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/synd.yardi.com\/?p=228431"},"modified":"2022-12-04T05:59:58","modified_gmt":"2022-12-04T13:59:58","slug":"exxon-to-expand-houston-footprint-inking-478000-sf-lease","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.commercialsearch.com\/news\/exxon-to-expand-houston-footprint-inking-478000-sf-lease\/","title":{"rendered":"Exxon to Expand Houston Footprint, Inking 478,000-SF Lease"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em>By Amalia Otet, Associate Editor<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Exxon Mobil Corp. signed a deal to lease approximately<a href=\"https:\/\/synd.yardi.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/46\/2013\/12\/ExxonMobil-in-The-Woodlands-View-Rendering-via-Business-Wire.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-228432\" title=\"ExxonMobil in The Woodlands -View Rendering via Business Wire\" src=\"https:\/\/synd.yardi.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/46\/2013\/12\/ExxonMobil-in-The-Woodlands-View-Rendering-via-Business-Wire.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"180\" \/><\/a> 478,000 square feet of office space at Hughes Landing, a 66-acre mixed-use community situated on Lake Woodlands.<\/p>\n<p>The energy giant will take over an entire office building and a portion of a second structure at the master-planned development, with plans to move in during the first half of 2016, according to The Woodlands Development Co., a wholly-owned subsidiary of The Howard Hughes Corp. (NYSE: HHC).<\/p>\n<p>Each building will feature approximately 300,000 square feet of Class A office space. The compound will also include an adjacent 13-story, 800,000-square-foot parking garage.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are very pleased to welcome ExxonMobil as a tenant in Hughes Landing, only a short distance from their new campus,\u201d said Paul Layne, executive vice president of master-planned communities for The Howard Hughes Corp. \u201cTheir offices in Hughes Landing are ideally situated, only steps away from all that Hughes Landing has to offer, providing their employees a one-of-a-kind setting where they can work in a vibrant lakeside community.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Designed by Houston-based Kirksey Architects, the buildings are seeking LEED certification.
