As a broker, he is currently working with Major League Baseball, which he termed \u201ca unique opportunity,\u201d and Ares Management, for which he and senior vice president Michael Brown recently completed a rehab of De Haro Place, which he described as a previously overlooked property that is now attracting attention. Other past and current clients have included AmTrust financial, AREA Property Partners, Brook Furniture Rental Inc., Cost Plus World Markets, Egon Zehnder International, Ingenio Inc., InsideView Technologies, Interface Engineering, Lennar Urban, Macys.com, Patelco Credit Union, Portland Energy Conservation Inc., Responsys Inc., Skullcandy, Sequoia Capital, Stupski Foundation, The Wet Seal Inc., Trans Pacific National Bank and Triage Consulting Group.<\/p>\n<p><em>Best Advice Received:<\/em> His father advised, \u201cDon\u2019t confuse efforts with results,\u201d never burn a bridge, take the higher road when you have a choice, and every year you start at zero, so be hungry to try and figure out how to generate business.<\/p>\n<p><em>Secrets to Success:<\/em> Being even keeled and having a good read on people helps on the management side. Also, communicating and being energetic.<\/p>\n<p><em>Greatest Challenges:<\/em> Finding a balance between being a very good, involved coach and serving his own clients.<\/p>\n<p><em>Advice to Others:<\/em> The sky\u2019s the limit. This business is so entrepreneurial, what you put in is often what you get out. Keep your head down and shoot high.
