Dubbed &#8220;The 9,&#8221; the $250 million development calls for the renovation and transformation of the former AmeriTrust Tower and historic Cleveland Trust Rotunda into a high-end complex featuring a luxury hotel, apartments and much more. The project will create 1,000 construction jobs.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The GEIS Cos. acquired the 29-story AmeriTrust Tower earlier this year from Cuyahoga County. When the project is finished, expected in late 2014, the skyscraper will house the 156-room Metropolitan at The 9 hotel, which will be affiliated with Marriott International&#8217;s Autograph Collection. The hotel will also include The Adega restaurant, with its Mediterranean cuisine and featuring downtown&#8217;s largest outdoor dining area; 12,000 feet of meeting and event space; a Heinen&#8217;s grocery store; an art gallery; and The Alex Theater. Amenities include an indoor dog park, a spa and fitness club, and the Azure Sky, downtown&#8217;s largest rooftop bar and sun deck.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The tower will also be home to 105 spacious luxury apartments, located on the upper floors. Their residents will have access to the hotel\u2019s guest services.
