has begun. According to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bizjournals.com\/pacific\/news\/2013\/08\/30\/symphony-honolulu-condo-project-to.html\" rel=\"nofollow\" ><em>Pacific Business News,<\/em><\/a> a total of 100 residences are available for families earning less than 140 percent of the Honolulu-area median income. Applications are being accepted through Sept. 24.<\/p>\n<p>Developed by OliverMcMillan, the 45-story residential high-rise will also bring 288 market-rate condominiums, for which <em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.multihousingnews.com\/cities\/honolulu\/sales-start-strong-for-olivermcmillans-symphony-condominiums-in-downtown-honolulu\/1004087230.html\" rel=\"nofollow\">sales began in June<\/a><\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>On the ground floor, the new mixed-use tower will feature a luxury auto galleria for JN Automotive Group, Hawaii\u2019s exclusive authorized dealer for international brands such as Ferrari, Maserati, Bentley, Lamborghini, Audi and Lotus. Plans also call for an expansive recreation deck, fashion boutiques and restaurants.<\/p>\n<p>Designed by Gensler and Architects Hawaii, Symphony Honolulu is expected to break ground at the end of 2013 and take about two years to complete.<\/p>\n<p>In other news, the <em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bizjournals.com\/pacific\/news\/2013\/08\/29\/ritz-carlton-waikiki-project-nearly.html\" rel=\"nofollow\" >Pacific Business News<\/a><\/em> reports that California developer Pacrep L.L.C. has broken ground on the Ritz-Carlton condominium hotel project in Waikiki.<\/p>\n<p>The new 37-story tower will feature 309 units, most of which have already been sold. Prices range from $500,000 for a studio to more than $15 million for a top-floor penthouse.<\/p>\n<p>Upon completion in 2016, the Ritz-Carlton Residences Waikiki Beach will be the area\u2019s first new luxury condominium property since Trump International Hotel Waikiki Beach Walk opened in 2009. Amenities will include resort pools, a spa, a fitness center, an owners\u2019 lounge and storage, a gourmet food market, as well as a cafe and restaurant.<\/p>\n<p>General contractor Albert C. Kobayashi Inc., Baldridge &amp; Associates Structural Engineering, Moss Engineering, Notkin Hawaii, Guerin Glass Architects and Brett Hill Construction are part of the development team.
