The site currently serves as a parking lot and, <a title=\"PropertyShark.com\" href=\"https:\/\/www.propertyshark.com\/mason\/boston\/Reports2\/showsection.html?propkey=111616385\" rel=\"nofollow\" >according to data from PropertyShark<\/a>, measures 0.28 acres.<\/p>\n<p>As described in the Project Notification Form that the developer filed with the Boston Redevelopment Authority earlier this month, the new hotel is estimated to cost around $35 million. It will include 156 rooms, a restaurant operated by a local company, meeting rooms, a caf\u00e9, an outdoor terrace and a rooftop pool and lounge.<\/p>\n<p>Designed by VJAArchitects of Minneapolis to achieve LEED certification, the proposed hotel will incorporate construction materials such as glazed white brick and locally manufactured materials that blend in with the traditional building features of the surrounding neighborhood.<\/p>\n<p>If approved by the BRA, the South Boston hotel could break ground in spring 2014 and be completed by fall 2015.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_168834\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\" style=\"width: 310px\"><a href=\"https:\/\/synd.yardi.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/46\/2013\/08\/DoubleTree-by-Hilton-Leominster.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-168834\" title=\"DoubleTree by Hilton Leominster\" src=\"https:\/\/synd.yardi.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/46\/2013\/08\/DoubleTree-by-Hilton-Leominster.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"211\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-caption-text\">DoubleTree by Hilton Leominster grand lobby<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>In further hotel news from the region, the former Four Points by Sheraton hotel at 99 Erdman Way in Leominster was recently added to the Hilton Worldwide portfolio.
