An expanded Project Notification Form was filed with the Boston Redevelopment Authority (BRA) in July and, according to the authority, a community meeting has been called to discuss the filing.<a href=\"https:\/\/synd.yardi.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/46\/2013\/08\/Bartlett-Place-phase-I.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright wp-image-160924\" title=\"Bartlett Place phase I\" src=\"https:\/\/synd.yardi.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/46\/2013\/08\/Bartlett-Place-phase-I.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"180\" height=\"210\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Dubbed Bartlett Place, the complex was designed by Davis Square Architects to be LEED-certifiable for new housing construction (LEED for Homes) and for new commercial construction (LEED-NC). Bartlett Place would be located at 2565 Washington Street, on the site of a former MBTA bus depot and maintenance facility that was purchased by Nuestra in October 2010.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">If approved by the BRA, the project will be developed in four phases and will include more than 300 new residential units\u2014around 194 units of affordable rental and homeownership housing and 129 units of market-rate rental and homeownership housing\u2014as well as 355 parking spaces, 54,000 square feet of commercial and retail space, a public events plaza, a public market and public space for interactive art.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><a href=\"https:\/\/synd.yardi.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/46\/2013\/08\/Bartlett-Place-building-A.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft wp-image-160925\" title=\"Bartlett Place - building A\" src=\"https:\/\/synd.yardi.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/46\/2013\/08\/Bartlett-Place-building-A.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"240\" height=\"131\" \/><\/a>If everything goes well in terms of approvals, the developers hope to break ground on Phase I of the project in the fall of 2014 with construction completed by the winter of 2016. This phase calls for a public plaza and two new mixed-use buildings with a combined square footage of 235,000 square feet.
