{"id":1004080804,"date":"2013-07-25T08:11:31","date_gmt":"2013-07-25T16:11:31","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/synd.yardi.com\/?p=153170"},"modified":"2020-05-10T23:47:06","modified_gmt":"2020-05-11T07:47:06","slug":"radnor-property-group-to-move-forward-with-25-story-mixed-use-tower-project","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.commercialsearch.com\/news\/radnor-property-group-to-move-forward-with-25-story-mixed-use-tower-project\/","title":{"rendered":"Radnor Property Group to Move Forward with 25-Story Mixed-Use Tower Project"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><em>By Veronica Grecu, Associate Editor<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/synd.yardi.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/46\/2013\/07\/38th-and-chestnut.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright wp-image-153171\" title=\"38th and chestnut\" src=\"https:\/\/synd.yardi.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/46\/2013\/07\/38th-and-chestnut.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"240\" height=\"135\" \/><\/a>A controversial development project spearheaded by Radnor Property Group finally received the green light for construction from the Historical Commission\u2019s architectural committee.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Several weeks after reaching an agreement with the Preservation Alliance for Greater Philadelphia on the long-term care and preservation of the historic Cathedral building constructed in 1855 by Samuel Sloan and located at 38<sup>th<\/sup> and Chestnut Streets (pictured to the right), the partnership between Radnor and the Philadelphia Episcopal Cathedral will break ground in September on a mixed-use project that will replace two buildings\u2014a parish house and rectory, also of historical significance\u2014with a 25-story residential and commercial high-rise.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/synd.yardi.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/46\/2013\/07\/38th-and-chestnut-new-development.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft wp-image-153172\" title=\"38th and chestnut new development\" src=\"https:\/\/synd.yardi.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/46\/2013\/07\/38th-and-chestnut-new-development.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"205\" height=\"240\" \/><\/a>According to a recent news report by <em><a href=\"https:\/\/ucreview.com\/developer-gets-green-light-for-mixeduse-tower-and-office-building-at-site-p4126-1.htm\" rel=\"nofollow\">University City Review<\/a><\/em>, the $105 million project was designed by Bower Lewis Thrower Architects (BLTa) and will include 280 rental apartments for young professionals and graduate students.
