Baltimore County Executive Kevin Kamenetz joined Edward St. John, Chairman and Founder of St. John Properties, to announce the project. <strong><\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Called Greenleigh at Crossroads,\u00a0 the 200-acre development will deliver a mixture of mid-rise Class \u201cA\u201d commercial office buildings, retail amenities and housing options. The residential units will be a mix of single family, town homes, multi-family and condos.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong><em>The Greenleigh at Crossroads project in numbers:<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li>$100 million investment;<\/li>\n<li>200 acres;<\/li>\n<li>50 acres &#8211; 25% of the project reserved for open space;<\/li>\n<li>1,700 residential units;<\/li>\n<li>500,000 square feet of office space;<\/li>\n<li>100,000 square feet of retail space.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Groundbreaking is expected to start within the next 12 to 18 months. Greenleigh at Crossroads was designed by the planning and urban design firm Design Collective, Inc.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Baltimore County Executive Kevin Kamenetz thinks Greenleigh at Crossroads will be a town center \u201dunlike anything else in Baltimore County&#8230; it will be an important part of eastern Baltimore County\u2019s future.\u201d He also said the project sets a new Baltimore County standard for quality development.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cGreenleigh at Crossroads represents an integrated approach to the opportunities our research suggests are emerging in Baltimore County, as well as a viable solution to re-energize and enhance the overall character of the community,\u201d Edward St. John said in a press statement. \u201cWe have thoughtfully designed this new section to serve as a dynamic employment generator, create a comprehensive live-work-play environment that satisfies many different needs and to elevate the product mix to the highest level ever achieved in the County.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Greenleigh at Crossroads will be developed in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.baltimorecrossroads.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\"><em>Baltimore Crossroads<\/em><\/a>, a 1,000 acre mixed-use business community on Maryland Route 43, in White Marsh. Since 2007, St. John Properties has developed almost 1.2 million square feet at Baltimore Crossroads, including 16 buildings representing 500,000 square feet of office, research and development and retail space. Approximately 3,000 employees currently work in this business community with over two million square feet of space.
