{"id":1004057212,"date":"2013-01-04T09:26:25","date_gmt":"2013-01-04T17:26:25","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/synd.yardi.com\/?p=92467"},"modified":"2020-04-21T05:09:19","modified_gmt":"2020-04-21T13:09:19","slug":"developer-announces-67m-mixed-income-rental-building-in-greenpoint","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.commercialsearch.com\/news\/developer-announces-67m-mixed-income-rental-building-in-greenpoint\/","title":{"rendered":"Developer Announces $67M Mixed-Income Rental Building in Greenpoint"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><em>By Veronica Grecu, Associate Editor<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Domain Companies, a real estate investment and development firm based in New Orleans, officially announced last week that it has secured financing of a new mixed-income development in Greenpoint, Brooklyn\u2019s northernmost neighborhood, through a mix of loans at below-market interest rates from the New York City Housing Development Corporation (NYCHDC) and Goldman Sachs.<a href=\"https:\/\/synd.yardi.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/46\/2013\/01\/1133-Manhattan-Avenue.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-92497\" title=\"1133 Manhattan Avenue\" src=\"https:\/\/synd.yardi.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/46\/2013\/01\/1133-Manhattan-Avenue.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"254\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Work on the $67 million rental building will start this month, according to the developer\u2019s press release. The project will be developed under Mayor Michael Bloomberg\u2019s<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nyc.gov\/html\/hpd\/downloads\/pdf\/10yearHMplan.pdf\"> New Housing Marketplace Plan (NHMP)<\/a>\u2014a 10-year program aimed at creating and preserving 165,000 units of affordable housing for New Yorkers by the end of 2014.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Dubbed 1133 Manhattan Avenue, the development involves cleaning a disused brownfield site and creating a combination of 210 market-rate and affordable rental units ranging from studios to two-bedroom.
