Gordon Woods, a two-building complex constructed on the site of the former Star of David Nursing Home, is now Boston\u2019s most affordable energy-efficient housing development.<\/p>\n<p>The condo property includes two buildings, totaling 19 and 23 units. Prices vary from $269,000 for a one-bedroom unit of 812 square feet to $419,000 for a two-bedroom duplex of 1,584 square feet on the top floor, according to <em>The Boston Herald<\/em>. All units are equipped with Energy STAR-certified appliances, gas fireplaces and hardwood floors. The buildings have separate parking spaces, and each unit has a private patio or porch. The landscaped area faces the parkway, and the formal entrances are decked with flowers, grass and bushes.<\/p>\n<p>In other real estate news, Waltham-based Saracen Properties L.L.C. and AEW Capital Management have recently received a $25 million grant from Webster Bank. The funds will be used by the joint venture to renovate the Two Oliver St. building, developed in 1903. The 223,445-square-foot property will receive energy-efficient upgrades to the heating and cooling system, elevators and main entrance.
