Just when you thought the Southern California stadium madness had come to an end, Ed Roski is coming closer to making the City of Industry the newest contender in the race for a new NFL team in Southern California. The plan has been in the works since 2009, when a bill exempted it from several laws, protecting it from environmental lawsuits.<\/p>\n
The race is definitely on, since Gov. Jerry Brown recently awarded similar incentives to the AEG-planned stadium that would tentatively sit in downtown L.A. The development company, which seems to be gaining momentum every step of the way, is kick-starting its plan in hopes of having it done by the 2016 season.<\/p>\n
The governor\u2019s new bill aims to take prolonged legal battles out of the equation for a project that would bring the city 23,000 jobs. Meanwhile, Roski is trying to get his\u00a0industrious plan for a 75,000-seat stadium underway, as the time for a new franchise approaches.
