An 844,000 square-foot office park is coming to Phoenix on a 24-acre site located at the corner of Chandler Boulevard and Loop 101. The massive development, tentatively dubbed Chandler 101 is the work of architecture firm Davis, the firm that\u2019s also responsible for the Hayden Ferry Lakeside on Tempe Town Lake, the Phoenix Business Journal<\/em> reports.<\/p>\n

The developer, The Rockefeller Development Group, is ready to start construction as soon as the project secures an anchor tenant. Such a tenant might be found in one of the city\u2019s major real estate clients, Arizona State University. The academic organization is set to debut its brand new W.P. Carey Evening MBA programs. The site is in the vicinity of Intel Microchip Technology, eBay, Paypal, International Rectifier, Digital Realty Trust and others. It looks like the development, which will include three eight-story towers and one 10-story tower, has everything going for it.<\/p>\n

Also making headlines is Westgate City Center. The troubled mixed-use facility that has been plagued by foreclosure has recently found new management. The company that will be taking over from Ellman Cos., which lost the retail center in a foreclosure sale, is Vestar Development Co. The new manager is responsible for shopping centers in the Valley, such as Tempe Marketplace and Desert Ridge Marketplace.<\/p>\n

Westgate was developed by Ellman in 2006 with the retail center situated at Glendale Avenue and Loop 101 situated across the street from the University of Phoenix Stadium. The center offers 265,000 square feet of retail space and 130,000 square feet reserved for office use.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
