Law firm GrayRobinson has recently signed an 11-year lease with Jones Lang LaSalle Inc. for 38,864 square feet in Tampa\u2019s iconic SunTrust Financial Centre. The full-service law firm currently has 240 attorneys in nine other offices statewide and plans on moving its local employees from Tampa City Center to two entire floors in the SunTrust building.<\/p>\n
The property, at 401 E. Jackson St., is one of Tampa\u2019s most recognizable landmarks and is considered one of the premier office towers in the Bay area.\u00a0Standing 36 stories and totaling\u00a0527,000 square feet, the\u00a0Class A office tower, which includes unique architectural features designed by U.S.-based Cooper Carry and great amenities, is\u00a0located at Florida Avenue and Jackson Street, minutes from I-275 and the Crosstown Expressway. The building is fully cabled for fiber-optic and digital communications and includes an audiovisual-equipped conference center to enhance on-site business meetings.<\/p>\n
Built in 1992, the SunTrust building was designated the \u201cOutstanding Building of the Year\u201d by the Building Owners and Managers Association\u2019s Tampa Bay chapter in 2010. The owner, a joint venture partnership between Charter Hall Office REIT and Stiles, has awarded Jones Lang LaSalle exclusive listing rights.<\/p>\n
Charter Hall Office REIT\/Stiles was represented during negotiations by Jones Lang LaSalle\u2019s Sharon Bragg, while John Carter & Associates represented GrayRobinson. The law firm will move its Tampa operations into the SunTrust building starting in October 2012.
