The Mile High Greyhound Park in Commerce City is the talk of the town in Denver because of the hot prospect for redevelopment it has become after being bought by the city\u2019s authorities. The Urban Revival Authority acquired the 65-acre site for $3.3 million and it is shopping around parts of it to the highest bidders. It now looks like the first client is in, and as The Denver Business Journal <\/em>put it, not who you\u2019d expect. The Boys and Girls Clubs of Metro Denver will be the first tenant in the future venue.<\/p>\n

The move would drastically increase the number of children the organization can help in Commerce City. The Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Denver currently offers services to 600 children at a temporary venue provided by a local school. The project will also benefit from a $166,000 appropriation from the U.S. Department of Housing & Urban Development secured by United States Representative Ed Perlmutter, DBJ\u00a0<\/em>reports.<\/p>\n

Also making headlines is the transaction for the Sierra Vista Apartments, a property located at 8851 East Florida Avenue. The residential community traded hands from New York-based Coolidge Sierra LLC to new owner Antelope Investments. The real estate firm from Dallas spent $12.08 million to become the new owner of the complex. It boasts 209 units, most of which are subsidized by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development\u2019s Housing Assistance Payments program, the Denver Business Journal <\/em>reports.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
