KTGY Group Inc. has announced the construction of Bluff Lake Apartment Homes, a new eco-friendly residential community. The project will house 92 families with an income between 30 percent and 50 percent of the area median income. The four-story apartment community will be built on 2.33 acres northeast of the planned Eastbridge Town Center in Forest City’s master-planned community of Stapleton at the intersection of E. 31st Avenue Street and Hanover Street.<\/p>\n
The $11.5 million affordable housing community is the result of an extensive collaboration between affordable housing developer Mercy Housing, the City of Denver and architecture and planning firm KTGY Group.<\/p>\n
Fifty percent of the apartments will be dedicated to assist families in transition as part of Denver’s Road Home initiative to end homelessness. Based on family size and income, the rents will be between $250 and $950.<\/p>\n
Mercy Housing\u2019s Bluff Lake Apartment Homes, designed by KTGY Group, will offer 92 units ranging in size from 615 square feet to 1,209 square feet. The development will feature a community room, computer lab, fully equipped kitchen, a 3,000-square-foot playground and a 3,000-square-foot building that will be available to the neighborhood for community functions.<\/p>\n
The development will incorporate eco-friendly design features and the general contractor, Catamount Constructors, will focus on recycling a large percentage of the construction waste.<\/p>\n
This isn’t the first endeavor of its kind for Mercy Housing in Stapleton\u2014in 2005 the organization opened the Parkside Apartments. Mercy Housing currently owns and manages over 16,000 units nationwide.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
