A recent public preview drew a crowd of 15,000 to take a first look at T3, as the new facility has been nicknamed\u20146,000 of them during the first hour alone.<\/p>\n<p>When it opens on June 27, T3 will offer 14 gates that can accommodate more and larger planes than its predecessor, which will close the day after the new terminal\u2019s is placed into service.\u00a0 The 1.9 million square foot facility will lighten Terminal 1\u2019s load by 23 carriers, with the airlines being moved to T3 in a three-stage operation. American, Delta, US Airways and Southwest will keep their places at Terminal 1, First Coast News reports.<\/p>\n<p>T3 features\u00a0more spacious<a href=\"https:\/\/synd.yardi.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/46\/2012\/06\/las-airport-address.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-52428\" src=\"https:\/\/synd.yardi.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/46\/2012\/06\/las-airport-address.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"176\" \/><\/a> customs facilities and jet bridges for simultaneous front and rear boarding for the enhanced comfort of international fliers. Passengers will also added dining and shopping options in its seven restaurants and retail areas. Those faced with a lengthy wait for a flight will be able to relax\u00a0in the terminal\u2019s express spa.
