Holliday Fenoglio Fowler announced it has closed the sale of the DoubleTree Denver\u2013Aurora. The 248-room full-service hotel, located at 13696 East Iliff Pl. in Aurora, was marketed by HFF on behalf of the seller\u2014GTIS Partners. The property was purchased by New York-based Garrison Investment Group for an undisclosed amount.\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

The DoubleTree Denver\u2013Aurora, built in 1983, is located between Denver\u2019s major highways I-25 and I-70 near the 6.5 million-square-foot Anschutz Medical Center and Aurora Town Center Mall. The hotel features 10 meeting rooms totaling over 12,700 square feet and other amenities such as a full-service restaurant and bar, caf\u00e9, fitness center, indoor pool and business center.<\/p>\n

The hotel will continue its affiliation with the DoubleTree by Hilton brand, and Aimbridge Hospitaly will continue to manage the property. Senior Managing Director Bill Stadler and Managing Director John Bourret led the HFF team representing GTIS Partners.<\/p>\n

In other hospitality news, Denver-based Sage Hospitality announced that it now manages the Embassy Suites Denver\u2013Downtown\/Convention Center. The LEED Silver-certified all-suite hotel, located at 1420 Stout St. near the Colorado Convention Center and 16th Street Mall, offers 14 venues with a total of 22,500 square feet of meeting space.<\/p>\n

The 403-room convention center hotel became the largest and first urban property in Sage\u2019s Full Service Division, a portfolio of 10 full service hotels across the country. Jim Darter, Senior Vice President of the Full Service Division, said: \u201cThis hotel is already one of the top performers in the downtown area and is currently ranked No. 1 in Denver by their guests on TripAdvisor. We look forward to using all of Sage\u2019s market strength to attain breakthrough performance in the coming years.\u201d<\/p>\n
