H.D. Woodson Senior High School has just been inaugurated during an official ceremony held at 5500 Eads St. in the Northeast quadrant. As reported by the <em>Washington Informer<\/em>, the $102 million high school includes two gymnasiums, a natatorium, an auditorium, modern administrative and classroom space, a dining room, wireless computer networks and a state-of-the-art football stadium. The classrooms and labs are equipped with smart boards, and students will have access to laptop computers.<\/p>\n<p>The 230,000-square-feet building was projected by Cox, Grae and Spack Architects, along with SHW Group and, thanks to its environmental and energy-efficient design, will apply for a LEED Gold certification, seeking to secure the highest standard in environmental designation. According to <em>DCist.com<\/em>, the renovation of H.D. Woodson Senior High School is part of a $1.8 billion reconstruction and modernization plan of Washington, D.C., public schools that aims to provide safer and more supportive classroom environments for the area\u2019s students.<\/p>\n<p>In commercial real estate news, <em>Citybizlist<\/em> reports that the Tysons East Corner Office Portfolio, comprising five buildings located on 16.8 acres of land, was sold to the AFL-CLO Building Investment Trust for $138.5 million.
