EatWell DC–a local restaurant management company that owns The Heights, Grillfish, Logan Tavern and the Commissary–last week announced plans to open its fifth concept restaurant, to be called The Pig. According to a press release, the new restaurant will live up to its name by serving \u201cnose to tail\u201d and \u201cfarm to table\u201d pork dishes prepared with products from the company\u2019s farm in La Plata, Md. Citybizlist<\/em> reports that EatWell DC signed a lease for 2,800 square feet of space in a building owned by Keyvan Adhut and located at 1320 14th<\/sup> St., N.W.; the company was represented in the transaction by Jennifer and Wayne Dickinson of Blake\/Dickinson.<\/p>\n Citybizlist<\/em> also noted another D.C. restaurant space lease signed by A-Deli Italian Food & Wine. The privately owned deli chain signed a lease for 8,000 square feet for a NoMa restaurant to be located at 1300 Second St., on the site of the former Pound coffee shop. A-Deli was represented in the deal by Robert Tack of Capital Retail Group.<\/p>\n In additional headlines this week, FOX Architects announced plans to design a new Class A office building for First Potomac Realty Trust. The 105,000-square-foot building will be located at 440 First St., N.W., between Union Station and the U.S. Capitol Building.<\/p>\n According to a press release, the firm’s design team will add two floors totaling 35,000 square feet to the existing eight-story property, thus making it a 10-story Class A office building with a total of 140,000 square feet.\u00a0Once completed, the developers will be able to apply for a LEED Gold certification, thanks to the building\u2019s sustainable design, which would include full renovation of the mechanical systems and a green-roofed penthouse terrace.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" By Veronica Grecu, Associate Editor
