<\/a>PJ Dick has been recently selected as general contractor for the new Pennsylvania State Employees\u2019 Credit Union (PSECU) headquarters.<\/p>\nThe $71 million project represents PJ Dick\u2019s first Harrisburg-based contract, and it is also the largest construction project in progress in the Central Pennsylvania region. Expected to be completed by 2013, the\u00a0headquarters will encompass 235,000 square feet on a 47-acre campus located at 1500 Elmerton Road.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe are extremely pleased to work with the Pennsylvania State Employees\u2019 Credit Union on this signature project for both of our companies,\u201c said Clifford R. Rowe, PJ Dick\u2019s CEO. Upon completion, the\u00a0property will be LEED certifiable with the U.S. Green Building Council.<\/p>\n
According to the company\u2019s press release, the new base of operations will accommodate about 750 employees, and it will feature an exterior glass curtain and terra cotta panels, an exercise trail around the facility perimeter and various other amenities.<\/p>\n
In related news, Gary Saulson will fill the finance seat of the U.S. Green Building Council\u2019s board, the Pittsburgh Business Times<\/em> reports.<\/p>\nSaulson is the director of corporate real estate at PNC Financial Services Group Inc., and has become renowned for his green building initiatives. Saulson is one of the leaders of PNC\u2019s environmental strategy, which has resulted in the company having the largest portfolio of certified green buildings in the world.<\/p>\n
Throughout his career, Saulson has received an array of awards such as the USGBC\u2019s LEED Award for his advancement of the LEED Rating System and the Green Building Alliance\u2019s Shades of Green Leadership Award.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
