The firm will oversee the renovation of a 37,500-square-foot psychology building, according to the <em>San Antonio Business Journal<\/em>. Work is scheduled to start next spring.<\/p>\n<p>The scope of work includes modifications to the building\u2019s HVAC, electrical, plumbing and telecommunications systems, as well as upgrades to classrooms, offices and research labs.\u00a0 Randall Scott Architects is the project architect.<\/p>\n<p>This represents the first education project in San Antonio for Houston-based Satterfield &amp; Pontikes. Other campus projects completed by the company\u00a0include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>$105.6-million Texas A&amp;M Health Science Center New Campus (Phase I) in Bryan;<\/li>\n<li>$22.2-million renovation and additions to Texas Woman\u2019s University science building in Denton;<\/li>\n<li>$18.9-million project at Texas A&amp;M University \u2013 Corpus Christi College of Business.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>In other news, a recent study contends that the Eagle Ford Shale region will require significant investment in housing stock, public service, infrastructure and public utilities in order to accommodate the influx of new residents in the next 10 to 15 years, the <em>San Antonio Business Journal<\/em>\u00a0 reports.<\/p>\n<p>The Eagle Ford Shale Strategic Housing Analysis \u00a0indicates that the region is one of the most significant oil and gas finds in Texas history, and it has attracted an influx of transient and permanent workers from across Texas and the nation.
