{"id":1004051504,"date":"2012-06-27T17:13:33","date_gmt":"2012-06-28T01:13:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/synd.yardi.com\/?p=54539"},"modified":"2022-12-09T01:47:59","modified_gmt":"2022-12-09T09:47:59","slug":"michigan-to-auction-140-state-properties","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.commercialsearch.com\/news\/michigan-to-auction-140-state-properties\/","title":{"rendered":"Michigan to Auction 140 State Properties"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify\">By Veronica Grecu, Associate Editor<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">The Michigan Department of Natural Resources (DNR) and the Michigan Land Bank Fast Track Authority (MLB) jointly announced the sale of 140 properties located throughout the state\u2014but primarily in northern Michigan\u2014in a sealed-bid auction that started on June 20.\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/synd.yardi.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/46\/2012\/06\/DNR-LOGO1.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-54542\" title=\"DNR-LOGO\" src=\"https:\/\/synd.yardi.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/46\/2012\/06\/DNR-LOGO1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"221\" height=\"226\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Comprising more than 2,400 acres, the properties are suitable for a variety of uses such as hunting, camping and development. According to an official statement, DNR had already tried to auction off many of the properties. By partnering with MLB and offering lower, more affordable starting bids, DNR now hopes to attract a larger number of potential buyers. All bids must be postmarked by August 1, 2012, which will be the last day of auction.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">The list of properties includes:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">&#8211; \u00a0 \u00a0 Four sites in the Sugar Springs community of Gladwin County, totaling over 4,000 acres of recreational space<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">&#8211; \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 A 10-acre property suitable for recreational build in Cheboygan County<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">&#8211; \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 A one-acre site in Benton Township zoned for residential development, but also suitable for commercial or industrial use<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">&#8211; \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 200 acres of forest land in Chippewa County<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">&#8211;
