Mainstreet Property Group LLC has gained approval from the Indianapolis Metropolitan Development Commission to build a $15.7 million senior health care center on the city\u2019s east side.<\/p>\n

According to the Indianapolis Business Journal<\/em>,\u00a0a portion\u00a0of the project could be financed by $7.4 million in city-issued bonds. Plans call for 100 beds for skilled care, short-term rehabilitation and assisted-living patients.<\/p>\n

The facility will be developed on a nine-acre parcel located at 16th Street and Arlington Avenue. Earlier this year, the Cicero-based developer purchased the property from the city for $912,500. Zeke Turner, Mainstreet\u2019s CEO, told the newspaper that the new center is expected to employ up to 150 people.<\/p>\n

Mainstreet Property also plans to build a $13.3 million assisted living facility in Westfield. The 65,000-square senior health care center will feature 100 private suites and create about 150 jobs. Founded in 2002, the company now owns or co-owns 13 senior health care centers in Indiana, Illinois and Ohio, and is currently developing another six facilities. It is one of the fastest growing private companies in the Indianapolis area.<\/p>\n

In other news, Cincinnati, OH-based Chavez Properties will soon start construction on a 2,000-space off-airport parking facility south of the Indianapolis International Airport. A Marion County Superior Court ruling cleared the way for the $15-million project, Inside Indiana Business<\/em> reports.<\/p>\n

The “Fast Park & Relax” project will be located in the AmeriPlex business park in Decatur Township. It is expected to create 45 new jobs and attract additional commercial projects.<\/p>\n

“Decatur Township is actively pursuing new businesses and new jobs. We are delighted to welcome ‘Fast Park & Relax’ and believe that this could easily generate more development in AmeriPlex,” Jason Holiday, City-County Councilor commented in a statement.<\/p>\n

According to Chris Wilkes, senior vice president of Holladay Properties, the developers and managers of the AmeriPlex business park, other developments were waiting approval of the parking facility. These projects include a gas station and convenience store, restaurants and other retail amenities.<\/p>\n
