Almost one year after announcing the project, real estate investment trust Home Properties broke ground last week on the $79 million complex during an official ceremony held onsite, at the corner of Hector and North Lane.<a href=\"https:\/\/synd.yardi.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/46\/2012\/10\/the-courts-at-spring-mill-station.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-77981\" title=\"the courts at spring mill station\" src=\"https:\/\/synd.yardi.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/46\/2012\/10\/the-courts-at-spring-mill-station.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"153\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">This is Home Properties\u2019 19<sup>th<\/sup> apartment development in Philadelphia, according to the <em>Rochester Business Journal<\/em>. The Courts at Spring Mill Station will include two buildings totaling 385 high-end apartment homes within the Colonial School District and close to the SEPTA Spring Mill Station and Schuylkill River Trail, with easy access to Center City Philadelphia and the Greater Philadelphia area. The units include a combination of studio, one-bedroom and two-bedroom floorplans with dens and lofts.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Designed by KTGY Architecture + Planning to meet LEED certification requirements, the multifamily project will include environmentally friendly features such as Energy Star appliances, energy-efficient HVAC systems and windows, low-flow toilets and faucets, and use of recycled and regional materials.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&#8220;We are also pleased to be able to offer residents at The Courts at Spring Mill Station greener lifestyle choices including the option to go totally car-free with SEPTA outside their front door. Easy access to public transportation combined with the many environmentally friendly building practices Home Properties is incorporating, makes a greener lifestyle attainable,&#8221; said Kerri Haltom, Home Properties&#8217; regional vice president for the Philadelphia region.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/synd.yardi.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/46\/2012\/10\/the-courts-at-spring-mill-station-2.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-medium wp-image-77982\" title=\"the courts at spring mill station 2\" src=\"https:\/\/synd.yardi.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/46\/2012\/10\/the-courts-at-spring-mill-station-2.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"168\" \/><\/a>Other upscale amenities include a resort-style swimming pool, a fitness center with yoga studio, office space, an indoor half-court for basketball and volleyball, a computer room with Wi-Fi access, a theater, as well as one podium garage and one precast garage over a 7.8-acre lot.
