The online profiles will cover more than 19 million square feet of Clarion\u2019s office and industrial assets and more than 7,000 multi-family units.<\/p>\n<p>Honest Buildings &lt;www.honestbuildings.com&gt;, co-located in New York and Seattle, says its mission is to connect \u201call stakeholders in the real estate industry to discover building information, company profiles, individual profiles and open opportunities to drive demand for better buildings all over the world.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe Honest Buildings network makes it exponentially easier to find and compare the best buildings, projects and companies in commercial real estate,\u201d said Riggs Kubiak, CEO of Honest Buildings, \u201cgiving Clarion Partners the ability to instantly connect with more qualified tenants and potential partners and stand out from its competition.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Crain\u2019s New York Business described Honest Buildings as \u201ca Yelp for property owners,\u201d and Architectural Record called it \u201ca Facebook for the building industry.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Launched in March 2012, the network has detailed online profiles for more than 750,000 buildings across the United States and for thousands of companies in the real estate industry. Existing Honest Buildings members include Con Edison, lighting and controls company Lutron Electronics, and thousands of architects, engineers, contractors, brokers, building managers, energy efficiency consultants and other professionals.<\/p>\n<p>Honest Buildings claims that its network, which highlights sustainability information about commercial properties, is the fastest-growing online real estate network.<\/p>\n<p>Clarion focuses on Class A buildings, senior vice president Rick Schaupp told <em>Commercial Property Executive<\/em>, and \u201cBeing sustainable is part of running buildings that lead the industry.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Clarion sees the Honest Buildings relationship as helping to build its brand, Schaupp added, especially as Clarion seeks more LEED certifications. \u201cTransparency and data are key to people making decisions.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Last month on Gigaom.com, green-tech blogger Katie Fehrenbacher reported that Honest Buildings had partnered with Lucid Design Group to integrate Lucid\u2019s real-time energy data into Honest Buildings\u2019 site.
