In an unprecedented partnership, Jones Lang LaSalle has teamed with global lighting leader Royal Philips Electronics to drive sustainable transformation in energy use in global commercial real estate markets.<\/p>\n

Under the agreement, Royal Philips Electronics will deliver energy-efficient lighting and energy management solutions to all Jones Lang LaSalle clients.<\/p>\n

\u201cAs part of our offering as a corporate solutions partner, our clients expect us to deliver them great financial benefits through our gathered buying power. It is rare that we can find a single partner globally who can deliver on this requirement,\u201d Michael Raphael, Jones Lang LaSalle\u2019s head-supply chain management & procurement (Asia Pacific), told Commercial Property Executive<\/em>. \u201cThe partnership allows us to deliver consistently high levels of service to our global and local clients by leveraging the best of both companies.\u201d<\/p>\n

The global agreement begins in Asia Pacific and will be scaled up to cover the Americas, Europe, Middle East and Africa. The agreement can offer energy savings of up to $100 million a year for Jones Lang LaSalle clients in Asia Pacific, where the company manages more than 70 million light points for over 150 corporate clients.<\/p>\n

\u201cA global financial client of Jones Lang LaSalle had already worked with a few local lighting providers to quote on their upgrade from compact fluorescent to LED. We brought in Philips as our partner and they were able to deliver 30 percent savings on the combined cost of fixtures and installation,\u201d Raphael said. \u201cWhere we manage a client\u2019s complete global portfolio, we have been able to present a solution that lowers their energy usage, delivers financial savings, as well as the ability to lodge the program internationally for carbon credits.\u201d<\/p>\n

The solutions are not just focused on lighting, Philips technology will allow the company to interface with controls systems to also deliver savings in areas such as air-conditioning usage.<\/p>\n

\u201cOur partnership with Jones Lang LaSalle and our extensive portfolio in lighting solutions will allow us to help drive the adoption of energy-efficient and sustainable lighting solutions on a large scale in the commercial real estate space,\u201d Harjit Gill, CEO for Philips in ASEAN & Pacific, said. \u201cThis partnership will further demonstrate our capabilities to manage global lighting consultancy services to maximize value for our customers.\u201d<\/p>\n

Both companies will also provide consultancy on energy management with intelligent lighting solutions and controls with new and existing customers.<\/p>\n
