Broccolini Construction Inc. announced plans to build L\u2019Avenue, a 50-story mixed-use residential high-rise in the center of downtown Montr\u00e9al.<\/p>\n<p>To be located on Avenue des Canadiens-de-Montr\u00e9al, across from the Centre Bell, L\u2019Avenue will feature a podium that will offer space for hotel, retail and restaurant opportunities. The tower will be made of three sculpted rectilinear volumes and offer 350 residences which will range in size from 500 to 1,500 square feet. Prices will start from the mid $200,000s.<\/p>\n<p>The development site was purchased in February 2012, in partnership with Carttera Private Equities, for $14.1 million. L\u2019Avenue is not the only mixed-use residential tower in the pipeline for Montr\u00e9al. According to a report released by the City in April, there are 10 other new large scale projects planned.<\/p>\n<p>M. Anthony Broccolini, managing director at the Montreal-based Broccolini, said the company is \u201cproud to invest in this unique residential, mixed-use development. L&#8217;Avenue is certain to transform the urban landscape and reflect Montr\u00e9al&#8217;s international image: modern and cutting-edge. Bringing new vitality to this sector of the city, we are convinced L&#8217;Avenue will become a symbol of Montr\u00e9al\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>The presentation gallery for L\u2019Avenue is scheduled to open in early fall 2012 and will feature a full model suite. The 574-foot high-rise is set to become the sixth tallest building in Montr\u00e9al. The 673-foot office tower at 1000 de La Gaucheti\u00e8re, which was built to the maximum height approved by the city, the same height as the elevation of Mount Royal, will still dominate the skyline.<\/p>\n<p>Among the other mixed-use residential towers planned for Montr\u00e9al are:<\/p>\n<p>-\u00celot Ogilvy &#8211; a project designed by Groupe IBI CHBA and Sid Lee Architecture which will feature 110 residential units and a 120-room hotel;<\/p>\n<p>-Rue Drummond \u2013 a two-tower development which will feature 327 residential units and around 28,000 square feet of office space, designed by Groupe IBI DAA;<\/p>\n<p>-Le Roccabella \u2013 a 35-story twin tower development which will include 516 residential units and 2 floors of commercial space, designed by B\u00e9\u00efque, Legault, Thuot architects.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>In addition to the 350-unit mixed-use L\u2019Avenue,  there are 10 other new large-scale residential projects being planned for Montreal, according to city officials.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":1138,"featured_media":1004045446,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"_acf_changed":false,"_jetpack_memberships_contains_paid_content":false,"footnotes":""},"categories":[21808,16,21752,21742],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-1004042426","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-featured","category-international","category-mixed-use","category-latest"],"acf":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO Premium plugin v28.0 (Yoast SEO v28.0) -
