Cushman & Wakefield has hired a real estate veteran to head its Americas region. James Underhill will lead the company\u2019s largest operating region, which consists of 141 owned and alliance offices in North and South America.<\/p>\n
Underhill, who will be based in Washington, D.C., will oversee branch and area leaders in the United States, Canada, Mexico, Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru and Venezuela. He has been with Cushman for five years and replaces John Santora, who was appointed chief executive officer of the company\u2019s client solutions group this summer.<\/p>\n
He will report to president & chief executive officer Glenn Rufrano, who said that Underhill stood out from a strong list of internal and external candidates for the position.<\/p>\n
Underhill has more than 25 years of real estate experience in the Mid-Atlantic and New England areas. As executive vice president & area leader for Cushman in the Mid-Atlantic and New England regions, he oversaw all of the firm\u2019s activities in those territories, including service lines such as agency leasing, tenant representation and project finance.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
