The chemical firm BASF Corp. has signed a lease with Rockefeller Group Development Corp. to occupy a new 325,000-square-foot building to be developed by Rockefeller at The Green at Florham Park, N.J. The company has been based in Florham Park since 2004. <\/p>\n
The $100 million new building, on which construction will begin in July, will be home to BASF\u2019s headquarters. Occupancy is expected by mid-2012, and Rockefeller is angling to qualify for LEED certification.<\/p>\n
\u201cThey are going for an LEED-platinum building,\u201d Cushman & Wakefield vice chairman Robert Donnelly, who advised BASF in the deal, told CPE. \u201cI think this is very significant for the market. \u2026 In order for BASF to get the type of space their leadership wanted, they needed to create it. It didn\u2019t exist in the market.\u201d<\/p>\n
The Green at Florham Park is a 268-acre master-planned community designed to accommodate more than 800,000 square feet of office space, a full-service hotel, a 425-unit adult residential community, and a 27-acre site that is home to the Atlantic Health New York Jets Training Center.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
