We are thrilled to announce the school site before we even have rooftops,\u201d Kristi Steward, director of marketing for Woodforest, told CPN.  Woodforest has been working with CISD for the past 12 months to examine a variety of sites within the development. CISD also reserved the option to purchase an additional 15 acres within the community for an intermediate school.  Construction will start in 2010 for a 2011 school year opening, Steward said. Woodforest model home construction will start in November with model homes slated for a spring 2009 opening.  Steward said Woodforest plans 5,500 single family homes along with townhomes and multi-family projects within the development. Woodforest is anticipating 15,000 to 18,000 residents in the next 10 years or so, she added.   The development is located 25 miles from Downtown Houston.
