The Ritz Carlton Hotel Co., in cooperation with resort developer Ernesto Coppel, has unveiled plans for a proposed 200-room hotel and 200 luxury residences on a three-mile beach within the 1,850-acre Quivira residential resort community in Los Cabos, Mexico. The Residences will break ground this summer. Plans are under way for The Ritz-Carlton Los Cabos Quivira, an oceanfront resort scheduled to open in early 2011. The Residences and proposed hotel will be the cornerstone of a resort community that will include two 18-hole Jack Nicklaus Signature Golf Courses. Amenities at the resort community will include an 18,000-square-foot spa and wellness center, boutique shops, upscale retail space, separate outdoor swimming pools and whirlpools, a selection of dining options, and a business center. With a 6,000-square-foot ballroom, 2,400-square-foot junior ballroom, three meeting rooms, the proposed hotel will be equipped to host both conferences and special events, such as weddings. The Residences will offer oceanfront and ocean-view homes on one-third to one-half acre sites, that will feature Mexican hacienda-style architecture and interiors, which blends Spanish colonial with Mediterranean influences like Tuscan architecture. The Residences will offer an array of floor plans ranging from 4,430 to 6,400 square feet, and will offer views of the oceans and mountains.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
