Transwestern has hired George Vogelei as its executive vice president of agency leasing. The newly vested executive will concentrate on marketing and leasing commercial space to federal, state, local government and private entities. He will be based in the firm’s Washington, D.C., office.

Extensive Leasing Experience

Prior to joining Transwestern, Vogelei served as managing director of asset services at NKF, where he oversaw the leasing of a 5 million-square-foot portfolio and advised in the acquisition and disposition of more than $600 million worth of assets. Some of his most notable projects include the leasing of Federal Gateway and 1350 Eye St. NW in Washington, D.C. Earlier in his career, he worked as associate director of leasing at Vornado Realty Trust and manager of corporate strategy and finance at Cobham.

Vogelei holds a master’s degree in business administration from Georgetown University. He also graduated with a degree in economics from the University of Puget Sound.

Case in point, he has already earned a new leasing assignment only a few weeks into his tenure at Transwestern. Nothing would more strongly validate the value he will bring to our team and our clients,” Transwestern Executive Managing Director Phil McCarthy said in a prepared statement.
