“What attracts me to this role is the opportunity to join a premier, global commercial real estate advisory firm with a strong focus on growth,” Everbach said in a prepared release. “I’m excited to be part of the U.S. leadership team and to have the oversight and responsibility for such a strategically significant part of the business. The enterprising and entrepreneurial culture of Colliers provides a springboard to achieving great things, not only within the business, but also elevating our business within the dynamic commercial real estate industry.”

In his new role, Everbach will focus on Colliers’ ongoing strategic expansion in the Central U.S., including targeted markets such as Chicago, Detroit, St. Louis, Indianapolis, Kansas City and Dallas-Ft. Worth.

He will also have management responsibility for the North Texas business and be based in Dallas.

“We have experienced strong growth in the Central U.S. region, both internally and through our acquisitions in Dallas and St. Louis and most recently Indianapolis,” Craig Robinson, Colliers International’s president | USA, said in the release. “With this rapid pace of growth we have established a new leadership position in the region and are delighted that Steve will be assuming this new role.”

Previously, Everbach has held senior leadership positions in professional services firms as well as investment management and development companies. He also has a strong agency leasing background, having completed over eight million square feet of real estate transactions representing an aggregate value of more than $1.5 billion throughout his career.

“With 30 years of experience in commercial real estate, Steve was the natural choice as he brings an exceptional level of on-the-ground market knowledge, client success and leadership skills to help continue our growth in this important region,” Robinson said.

As part of his new responsibilities, Everbach will be a member of Colliers’ U.S. Executive Leadership Team and Operating Committee.

Everbach is a member of the Board of Directors for the Dallas Regional Chamber, Downtown Dallas Inc. and the Robert and Margaret Folsom Institute for Real Estate at SMU’s Cox School of Business. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Boston University, where he is a member of the alumni association.
