Located at 655 N. Harbor Dr., the hotel offers 54 oversized guestrooms with state-of-the-art technology and Tempur-Pedic mattresses, a rooftop pool, panoramic views of the marina, large balconies with soaking tubs and two conference rooms with private lobbies.

“Los Angeles’ South Bay collection of picturesque coastal towns, offer some of the finest beaches and seaside attractions in the world,” said Michael Zislis, owner of Zislis Group, in prepared remarks. “Shade Hotel brings a new level of accommodations to the area that appeals to locals and visitors alike. The opening spearheads a broader effort to elevate the visitor experience in Redondo Beach, while maintaining the city’s historic charm.”

Adjacent to the hotel is a three-story, 9,034-square-foot culinary events building featuring the Sea Level Restaurant & Lounge on the ground level, a grand ballroom with floor to ceiling glass doors with a terrace that overlooks the harbor on the Horizon Level and an event space at the Sky Level, which offers views from Palos Verdes to Malibu.

This hotel is the second for the brand, after the opening of a location in Manhattan Beach in November 2005. The hotel already has a large number of dates booked and weddings for the special events building.
