Ware Malcomb Completes Renovations at San Diego Tower
Owned by LaSalle Investment Management and managed by Hines, the 22-story asset boasts an upgraded lobby, with improvements also including work on the exterior and amenities.
525 B Street
Ware Malcomb has completed the renovation of the 22-story 525 B Street office building in San Diego. Working together with Hines, the asset’s property manager, Ware Malcomb was responsible for the architectural, interior design and branding aspects of the project, with Bycor acting as general contractor.
The project included exterior, lobby and amenity renovations. Work on the 451,180-square-foot asset focused on the main building lobby and a 3,100-square-foot gym, which was fitted with a fitness center, showers and lockers.
Located at 525 B St., the property is in the heart of the B street corridor. According to Yardi Matrix data, LaSalle Investment Management is the owner, having purchased the asset in 2016 for $122 million. The building is LEED Gold and Energy Star Premier-certified.
“To maintain the sustainable nature of the building, we were able to preserve most of the existing lobby finishes while adding additional design features for a sophisticated new look,” said Tiffany English, Ware Malcomb principal, in prepared remarks.
Last September, Ware Malcomb also completed work on Rancho Vista Corporate Center, an 838,300-square-foot Class A office and research & development building in San Diego.
