International joint venture Tysons Development LLC has retained Transwestern to handle the leasing of 873,830 square feet of office space at The View, a 3-million-square-foot mixed-use development in Tysons, Va. In February, the partnership purchased a 1.8-acre parcel to accommodate the first phase of the project.

Reaching 600 feet, the office tower designed by Gensler will be the tallest commercial building between Philadelphia and Charlotte, N.C. The high-rise will feature:

  • 10-foot interior floor heights
  • 13-foot ceiling heights on some “super” floors across the building
  • abundant natural light
  • publicly accessible SkyGarden

Strategically positioned near Spring Hill Metro Station, the development provides easy access to downtown D.C., Washington Dulles International Airport and Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport. The View will encompass six buildings, including 90,000 square feet of retail and restaurant space, a cultural center with performing arts space and outdoor amphitheatre, as well as five-star hotel. Groundbreaking is planned for 2019, with completion scheduled for 2021.

Transwestern’s leasing team includes Executive Managing Director Phil McCarthy, Senior Vice President Alex Hancock, Executive Vice President George Vogelei and Senior Managing Director Tom Rogers.
