PhoenixHines has joined hands with Cambria Hotels & Suites in order to develop the already announced Cambria hotel within Chandler Veridian, a 25-acre mixed-use project developed by Hines. The hotel broke ground recently and is slated for completion in 2017.

The 136-key Cambria Hotel & Suites Chandler will feature a pool with cabanas, fitness room, lounge area and 1,300 square feet of meeting space. The project is being developed by Raleigh, N.C.-based Concord Hospitality Enterprises, architect DLR Group of Minneapolis and Phoenix-headquartered general contractor Layton Construction.

Located at the northwest corner of the Loop 101 and Loop 202 interchange, within the Price Corridor in Chandler, Ariz., the property will be part of the mixed-use development that also includes The Offices at Chandler Viridian, a 335-unit apartment community called Broadstone Fashion Center, a retail center called Chandler Viridian PRIMEGATE and a pedestrian promenade to the Chandler Fashion Center.

“We have a long-standing commitment and vision for this exciting mixed-use development featuring a modern-brand hotel, dynamic offices, high-end apartments and sophisticated retail that will strengthen the variety of existing uses at the Chandler Fashion Center,” Chris Anderson, managing director & local city leader for Hines, said in prepared remarks.

“We believe the mix of uses, including the multifamily development, hotel and restaurants, all enhance the City’s sense of place, which will help contribute to the viability of the office project,” Chandler Mayor Jay Tibshraeny said in a prepared statement.

Hines has developed, owns and/or manages several other high-profile projects in Arizona, including 24th at Camelback and Kierland One, both located in Phoenix.
