Local developer Pacifica Capital K.K. has opened the 205-key Moxy Tokyo Kinshicho, the lifestyle brand’s first property in Japan. American Hotel Management K.K., a wholly owned subsidiary of Pacifica, will operate the property under a management agreement with Marriott.

Located at 3-4-2 Kotobashi, Sumida-ku, the hotel is situated within 15 miles of Haneda International Airport and 38 miles from Narita International Airport, both in the Tokyo area. The property is within walking distance of Kinshicho Station and offers easy access to several points of interest, including Tokyo Skytree. Moxy Bar & Lounge is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, and is close to a handful of area dining options. The hotel offers 24-hour food and beverage service, fully equipped gym, bike rental services and nearly 1,000 square feet of meeting space.

“There is nothing remotely like Moxy in Japan,” said Seth Sulkin, president & CEO of Pacifica Capital K.K., in prepared remarks. “We think it will appeal not only to inbound travelers, but (also) to younger Japanese seeking a better experience.”
