A Gateway to Expansion

The Cartersville facility will be Lidl’s fourth regional headquarters and distribution center, following the ones in Virginia, North Carolina and Maryland. Lidl’s U.S. headquarters are in Arlington, Md. and the company now operates more than 10,000 stores in 28 countries.

Georgia is a gateway to the Southeastern market and beyond, providing innovative retail leaders such as Lidl the logistics infrastructure needed to support a growing customer base. We value Lidl’s investment and share in the company’s vision for future growth,” Georgia’s Governor Nathan Deal, said in prepared remarks. Although Lidl is known as a discount grocer which focuses on stores with a small footprint, the chain is marketing itself in the U.S. as the place for top quality items at the lowest price.
