HDR Expands to San Marcos

Austin, Texas—Engineering firm HDR has opened a new regional office to serve San Marcos, Kyle, Buda and Dripping Springs. The new office has been leased in the Red Oaks shopping center at 1290 Wonder World Drive, not far from the Hays County Government Center.

“Hays County is an incredibly important market to our company, and we are investing to better serve our clients in the region,” said Kelly Kaatz, HDR senior vice president and Central Texas area manager. “We’re currently involved with several transportation and water projects, and we have plans to grow this work significantly throughout the area.”

Allen Crozier was named manager of the San Marco office. He has been with HDR since 2005 and has decades of experience in project management and structural engineering in Central Texas, most notably with the Texas Department of Transportation.

“Allen is going to do a great job leading the new office and our growing team,” said Kaatz. “Our clients will be in good hands.”

The company has multiple offices in Austin and San Antonio serving Central and South Texas, but said it is important to invest in supporting the specific needs of communities in Hays County.

“We are working hard every day to build a future for Hays County and HDR; I trust this new office signals our commitment to local clients and staff,” said Crozier. “We are really excited about opening this new office because it allows us to better serve the communities that we live and work in. We certainly want to be seen as a good partner and trusted advisor to our clients in the area.”
