Fox Television’s Fox 5 WTTG and Fox 5 Plus WDCA, broadcasting in the Washington, D.C., metro area, has signed a lease with Carr Properties to occupy space at 7272 Wisconsin Ave. in downtown Bethesda, Md.

The company will lease 59,172 square feet at The Wilson, a 360,000-square-foot trophy office asset currently being constructed as part of a 937,000-square-foot, mixed-use development by Carr Properties. The finished project is scheduled for completion by the third quarter of 2020.

The Wilson offers tenants access to a multipurpose rooftop terrace with indoor/outdoor spaces that can be used as a social events space, a conference facility or tenant lounge; a second-story fitness center; a covered outdoor portico with lobby-style finishes; private tenant terraces on five floors and a below-grade bicycle room with direct elevator access to the fitness center and lobby. The 23-story asset will be one of the tallest buildings in the downtown area, standing at 295 feet.

Transwestern’s Executive Managing Director Phil McCarthy and Keith Foery, along with Senior Associate Cricket Cleary, represented the landlord in the leasing deal. Savills Studley’s Vice Chairmen Art Greenberg and Kelly Givens, as well as Managing Director Bie Chu Lee represented Fox in the transaction.

“Fox Television was looking for trophy office space with unparalleled amenities in downtown Bethesda, and The Wilson exceeded its expectations,” said McCarthy, in a prepared statement. “With demand for amenity-rich office space intensifying, The Wilson is well positioned to attract tenants looking to provide their employees with a positive and productive work environment.”
