CBRE has selected Jim Batjer as their new executive vice president in the Dallas office. He will be responsible for acquisition and disposition of large-scale retail and mixed-use developments throughout Texas and the Southwest.

He will be working with Executive Vice President Chris Cozby in Dallas-Fort Worth and Senior Vice President Mark Witcher out of the Houston office, whose appointment was announced last year.

With 30 years of real estate investment banking experience, Batjer has been involved in real estate transactions for major corporate, institutional and entrepreneurial owners totaling more than $8.5 billion. Before joining CBRE, he served as senior managing director with HFF’s Dallas office.

“His knowledge of the retail landscape throughout the Southwest and his relationships with key institutional clients will further CBRE’s momentum in the retail investment sales sector and provide investors with the best team in the industry, supported by the best services platform, to drive enhanced value for their assets,” said Michael Caffey, president South-Central Division at CBRE, in a prepared statement.
