As Reebok makes strides to head to Boston’s Seaport District for its new offices in the fall, CBRE Capital Markets has been selected to sell its current 65-acre campus in Canton, Mass.

CBRE’s Dave Pergola and Brian Doherty are heading the marketing effort for Reebok and its parent company, Adidas.

We have been involved with many former headquarters dispositions over the years,” Pergola said in a prepared statement. “The Reebok property in Canton stands out as the most spectacular of them all. Its design is truly forward-thinking. The campus will absolutely attract an owner that will value it as much as Reebok did during its stewardship.

The campus is located 10 miles south of Boston and consists of a 518,000-square-foot main headquarters building and several smaller support buildings for a total of 680,000 square feet. It also has two structured parking facilities, an indoor basketball court and fitness facility, a child care center and—no surprise—several athletic fields.

CBRE notes that the campus was designed to “enable collaboration, creativity and innovation in a large open space.

The property has everything needed to attract the type of talent today’s employers want,” Doherty added in prepared remarks. “The finishes inside the building are phenomenal, the amenity package is second to none and once you see the campus first-hand, you cannot help but say to yourself, ‘Wow…I wish I worked here.’ ”

Reebok announced in November that it was leaving the Canton campus and moving 700 employees to the Innovation & Design Building in Boston’s hot Seaport District. The athletic gear company will start moving into 220,000 square feet on five floors in September, according to the Boston Globe. Reebok will have a two-story gym, design lab, retail store and public restaurant at the site, the newspaper reported. Reebok also plans a one-mile running track around the building. Located on Drydock Avenue, the former military warehouse has been repositioned by owner Jamestown as a space for creative offices. Other tenants include architecture firm Elkus Manfredi, design consulting firm Continuum, software maker Autodesk, America’s Test Kitchen and the MassChallenge startup accelerator, the Globe said.

A move to a city headquarters isn’t the only property news for Reebok. In October, the company said it was opening a manufacturing facility early this year in Burrillville, R.I., where it would be introducing advanced robotics and innovative software to the manufacturing process to increase output and productivity. Commercial Property Executive reported that parent company Adidas was planning more new manufacturing facilities in the United States to cut shipping costs.
