CBRE has named Jim Gray as managing director of the firm’s Orlando office. Although Senior Managing Director Bill Moss—the founder of CBRE’s Orlando office—has recently retired, he will remain on board to assist with the transition.

With more than 30 years of industry experience, most recently Gray was the president of GrayPointe Capital. He also worked for Eola Capital as director of leasing and private investment funds, and as Parkway Properties’ director of national accounts. He was responsible for maintaining the company’s tenancy across 13 cities throughout nine Sunbelt states. Gray coordinated activities with private investors, while also raising and managing three equity funds totaling $40 million. Previously, Gray managed First Union/Wachovia Bank’s real estate and commercial lending activities.

“Jim’s managerial skills, deep knowledge of the business, roots in Orlando and variety of experience made him a clear choice to lead the Orlando office for us,” said Tripp Gulliford, senior managing director of CBRE’s North Florida region, in a prepared statement.
