Following the recent addition of two senior vice presidents who joined the firm from Cushman & Wakefield, CBRE has hired Barry Hanerfeld as senior vice president in Tampa, Fla. As part of the office leasing team, Hanerfeld will report to Mike DiBlasi, managing director since March.

Hanerfeld enters CBRE after serving as managing director at Cushman & Wakefield’s Tampa branch. During his 11-year tenure, he closed office space leasing transactions totaling more than 4 million square feet. His previous position within the company was as senior landlord and tenant representative, overseeing new business development and transaction management.

Hanerfeld began his real estate career in 1986, working with Long & Foster Commercial Real Estate Services Group in Washington, D.C. In 1990 he relocated to Tampa and served as director of leasing with The Wilson Co. for 18 years, having had a 3 million-square-foot portfolio under his management.
